Arcade style racing game where driver car can go autonomous?

Hi,

I'm looking for an arcade style racing game where during a race the driver's car can be put into an autonomous mode and drive itself through the course like the AI cars, and if the driver wants to take over they can.Are there any games like this out there?Or any that support mods I may be able to add the functionality to? I've been looking at something like Need for Speed Hot Pursuit or Grid 2.
